Practice Areas
Immigration, real estate and corporate lawyers in Panama.
Three practices, one office on Calle 50. We advise people moving to Panama, buying and selling property here, and forming and running companies here.
Who We Work With
A goal first, a category second.
Many of our clients are doing something in Panama for the first time: retiring here, taking a job, buying an apartment or a piece of land, selling a property they have owned for years, bringing a spouse and children, or setting up a company. They usually arrive with a goal rather than a legal category in mind, and often with conflicting information they have found online.
We start by working out which of Panama’s rules apply to the situation, and which do not. We also act for Panamanian companies and for the people behind them on the legal work a business generates once it exists.
01
Immigration & Residency
Panama has a residency permit for most situations: a pension, a job offer, an investment, a profession, a marriage, a dependent family member. The categories work differently from one another, and the one that sounds right is not always the one that fits. We identify the route that matches your circumstances and prepare the application to the standard the authorities expect.
Panamanian property transactions depend on what the public record shows: who owns the property, its registered boundaries, and any mortgages, liens or other limitations on the title. We act for buyers and for sellers, carry out the searches and due diligence, draft and review the agreements, handle leases, and take the transaction through to registration.

The right structure depends on what the business will do, who will own and manage it, and how it is expected to operate over time. We help clients choose a structure, complete the formation and registrations, and keep the entity in good standing afterwards. We also take on existing companies that need updates or corrections.

Lamboglia Law has practised in Panama City since 1996. Our small, lawyer-led team works closely with clients throughout a matter, in English and Spanish. We assist clients who are outside Panama as well as clients who are already here.
Because we advise on immigration, real estate and corporate matters, we can consider how those issues affect one another. A purchase, a company and a residency application are often parts of the same plan.
Our Process
From first contact to resolution.
01
Understand the goal
We review your situation and what you are trying to achieve, so that the legal route is chosen on the facts.
02
Identify the route
We identify the category or structure that fits and, where appropriate, provide a document plan for your matter.
03
Prepare and present
We prepare and present the filings or documents within the agreed scope of work, and keep you informed as the matter moves.
04
Address what comes back
Where an authority or a counterparty raises a requirement, we help address it and explain what it means for your matter.
Not sure which of these fits your situation?
Tell us what you are trying to do in Panama and we will tell you which route applies.
